Do you have the desire to volunteer?

Becoming a volunteer firefighter does not require a degree or specific experience. If you meet the following criteria, you can apply: 

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Have a valid driver's license
  • Reside in Madison County
  • Have appropriate transportation
  • Submit to a background check
  • Be of good moral character
  • Capable of preforming duties that require physical exertion
  • Willing to complete required training within a scheduled time
  • Pass Recruitment Process including an oral interview, departmental approval, and entry level physical

The Cherokee Pass Volunteer Fire District hires and recruits on a nondiscriminatory basis.
